Juana la loca [Mad Love] In 1496, Juana de Castilla, daughter of the Catholic Kings, travels to Flandes to marry the Archduke Felipe de Austria, known as 'El Hermoso' (The Handsome) and son of the emperor Maximiliano. Even though at the beginning this marriage obeys a political decision, later passion and desire develop between them. Juana becomes queen of Spain when her mother and her older brothers die in 1504. However, with the pressure of the crown and the discovery of her husband's many lovers, her mental health unravels. Felipe has the Burgos Court declare her insane and secludes her in the Monastry of Las Huelgas, proclaiming himself as the king.

Como agua para chocolate: Romantic fantasy set in Mexico during the early 20th century. A young couple is blocked from marrying by the demands of the young woman's cold and selfish mother. Un señor muy viejo con las alas enormes / A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings: Amid the debris of a Columbian cyclone lands a man whose seemingly miraculous anatomy attracts the curious and devout from around the world. Bodas de sangre [Blood Wedding] : Flamenco interpretation of the classic drama by Federico García Lorca . The National Ballet of Spain is first shown arriving at the dance studio, making up and rehearsing, dramatizing the technique by which they transform themselves into a unified dance company. The story of murderous passion and revenge is told entirely through dance without dialogue. A young bride runs off from her wedding with a married lover. He knows it will not; so does his wife who is still grieving over the death of their son the year before. The colonel has a mission: to elevate the grim routine of poverty and failure to a high mass of defiance. He does that by showing that a heart that has been broken still beats with vengeance.
