Synergia is Lewis & Clark’s annual journal of gender thought and expression. It is a compilation of short fiction, poetry, essays, and artwork. Synergia has traditionally coincided with the Gender Studies Symposium and printed copies are available during this event.
Synergia started in the early 1990s as an additional venue of discussion about gender for the Symposium. It was originally mostly academic essays and has transformed into a more artistic publication. Essays are still accepted and encouraged but submissions dictate the content of the book. It has become the trend of submitters to mostly give Synergia poetry and photography.
