Student Advocates for Business and Environmental Responsibility (SABER) is a student group that is dedicated to the concept of collaborative problem-solving efforts to address the many and varied environmental and land use conflicts facing the nation today. Although we recognize that the adversarial process has its time and place, we believe that more effective long-term solutions can be achieved in most cases through a cooperative process, and that attorneys can properly be involved in facilitating this process while ensuring that legal requirements and the basic goals of all parties are met. Our group encompasses a variety of viewpoints that ensures lively debates on the issues. However, we all agree that collaboration deserves as much attention as confrontation as a method for solving environmental problems. We invite you to attend our meetings and get involved with our group.
