Korean newspaper features College

Lewis & Clark College was prominently featured in the March 5, issue of the Chosun Ilbo, Korea's largest daily newspaper with 2.5 million readers.

The article, "One of the World's Best Colleges," was the second in a series titled "Highly Selective Schools in the United States."

The article mentioned that Lewis & Clark's Aubrey Watzek Library is open 24-hours a day, that the law school's Environmental and Natural Resources Program gets top national rankings and that law students are winning national moot court competitions.

The article also gives basic facts about the College and describes the College's international education programs and mentions Sirgoo Lee J.D. '97, who works for IBM/Korea.

Following publication, Oregon's Trade Office in Seoul reported receiving a numer of calls from people interested in Lewis & Clark College.

Woo-Young Bang is chair and chief executive officer of the Chosun-Ilbo. He is also the father of Sung Hoon Bang '96.
