LCTV produces quality episode; students amazed
"It's like Schindler's
List at our school!" one exclaims
by an anonymous source
LCTV, Lewis and Clark's weekly news program, has
captured the hearts of students and faculty alike
in yet another hard-hitting, emotionally-charged episode.
This week in particular, students were especially
impressed with roving reporter Micah Saul's exposé
on administration-student relations showcasing not
only the voice of the student body, but also the concerns
of those in the Dean's office. After watching the
program, Michael Ford, Dean of Students, remarked,
"I was unaware of the frustrations being voiced
by the student body on this very important issue.
Thanks to LCTV, I believe we can walk together down
the road to communication."
The LC community isn't the only one to take notice
of LCTV's consistent dedication to excellence. The
Future Media Moguls of America (FMMA) organization
has recently endowed LCTV with its esteemed Golden
Tripod award for the team's investigative and unbiased
coverage of the recent ASLC elections. According to
FMMA spokesperson Mick Dicmore, "LCTV has proven
itself time and time again to be the most reliable
source of news for the multitude of diverse activities
sponsored by Lewis and Clark College. Such an active
and empowered student body deserves and equally all-encompassing
news program.
LCTV has gone above and beyond the level of college-level
reporting with a product enjoyable and informative
to everyone. It is so refreshing to see college students
taking their work seriously, instead of using their
position for the personal gain, or simply humping
random objects. LCTV, we salute you!" Says LCTV
director Cody Hoesly, "after so many years of
taking risks to give the people of LC the quality
they deserve, it's nice to finally be given some recognition,
especially after having worked so hard to get the
real issues behind the ASLC elections. However, I
believe the results speak for themselves. Of course,
it all wouldn't be possible without the continuing
support of the LC community, from Mike Ford to ASLC
to the mailroom workers."
