KENYA AND TANZANIA

One Hundred Years of Political History in a Flash

KARIBUNI NYOTE

This web-site is intended as an introduction to Kenya and Tanzania and their political history for undergraduate students heading to East Africa for a study-travel program from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.  It consists of a collection of resources, notes for a lecture, suggestions for summer reading, mentions of films of interest, links for further information on East Africa, other links for the study of the Swahili language, and even a small selection of Swahili recipes.  I hope you find it useful, but you should be aware that it is in no sense intended to be a definitive treatment of any of its topics.  If you discover broken links and would be willing to inform me of them, I would much appreciate it.  A click-through at the bottom of each page is available for sending a message to me by email.
