Lisa Neher, percussion, voiceLisa serves as the student-coordinator for Musica Ficta and is thrilled to be fulfilling a lifelong dream of playing medieval music with great people. She is a junior majoring in music and theatre. She is a mezzo-soprano and sings as a soloist as well as in the alto section of Cappella Nova, Lewis & Clark's college choir. She also studies music composition with Dr. Forrest Pierce. In the theatre she acts, directs, and makes costumes. Lisa loves anything having to do with the Middle Ages, including her favorite mystery series, the Chronicles of Brother Cadfael, about a Benedictine monk in medieval England who solves crimes. For those looking for more medieval music to listen to, she suggests her favorite medieval song, "El Grillo," by Josquin des Prez. |
