Here (February 4) you see that the plumbing has begun throughout the house -- this picture is in the master bath. I think the most interesting part is that there are no metal pipes in the house. The feed lines for appliances like sinks and toilets is done with PEX tubing by a company named Wirsbo. This method means that the installation time for the plumbing is less and the tubing is easier to work with than copper pipes. We are also in the thros of choosing faucets and sinks and toilets, etc. Easier said than done I'll tell you.

February 20 and the roof over the master bedroom and bath doors and windows is complete except for shingles. We have been considering a deck that would wrap around from the previous deck area all the way to the far side of the hot tub. Essentially all that you see here would be decked -- when you walked out the french doors from the master bedroom or the door from the bathroom you would walk on to the deck. We haven't gotten an estimate on this addition to the original project but it's a possibility.
The master bedroom has become the storage area for heating/cooling ducts and insulation. It was one of the dryer places in the house when they needed to store this stuff since the second story was overhead. The roof was finished soon after this but the stuff is still there. Plenty of time left to install it. Once the roof is complete and the house has it's sheathing, it's alot easier to have multiple trades working at the same time in an enclosed structure.

February 26 and the windows are waiting to be installed. We are looking from the master bedroom into the bathroom and the shower. The white packaged material are glass blocks that will be the windows in the shower and in the vanity area to the left. The larger of the two (on the right) fits in where the plywood is showing -- this is the cosmic shower that is being installed. More about this as it is installed. This picture has been updated to show the windows now installed.

Note: it is with great pleasure that I mention that the evening of the day this was taken, Vicki and I were inspecting the glass blocks when I asked her to marry me and she accepted. So this shower will always have a very warm feeling about it.

The base for the shower has been delivered (but not installed yet). You can see the color - Mexican Sand - that the entire shower enclosure will be. It is actually sitting where the vanity will go in the master bath.
