Purdue University On-line Writing Lab (OWL)- A super writing resource, this lab includes comprehensive handouts and on-line materials for ESL/EFL writing instruction as well as comprehensive links to other writing related sites. http://owl.english.purdue.edu

Writing Den - Teacher's guide explains how to use this resource designed for Grades 7-12. Students expand vocab. and develop writing skills as they explore cultural, historical and scientific topics. Only a Matter of Opinion - This site focuses on different genres of journalistic writing. Perhaps the best way to use the resource is to look at the site map. The main sections of the site include Editorials, Commentary/Columns, and Editorial Cartooning. There is also a more general section entitled, "Art of Writing."
