Nice to see you again, and I am really delighted that I can take your class, Mr. Krauss. My name is Hirokazu Tsuzuki, and I am from Nagoya, Japan. Now, I am twenty-six years old. Reading books, particularly historical books, and using a computer are my two main hobbies, and I really like to play tactical and simulation video games. Indeed, I have played the games since I was a fifth grade student. Since I have a bachelor of law degree at a Japanese university, I am also interested in the U.S. law. Unfortunately, when I graduated from my Japanese university, I could not find a job in Japan. Therefore, I have come to this college to help me get my job in the future. After the end of my ISALC course, I would like to go into the department of International Affairs at this college and would especially like to study international law and international logistics (foreign trade). After finishing my studies in the U.S., I will absolutely need to find a job in Japan, and if possible, I would like to work in a foreign trade company. Moreover, I really hope that I will find a job in Japan before I reach thirty years old because it is pretty difficult for people over 30 to find a job in the current Japanese economy. |

My writing is like a snake, I think. When I write an English document, I have to go many roundabout ways, as a snake twistedly goes to its destination. First, when I have to find my topic, I always require much time. Actually, I spent much time to decide my animal before I began to write this paper. After deciding my topic, I need much time to organize my topic on paper or in my mind. For this paper, I organized in my mind and required much time. Then, I need to write my paper in English. Therefore, I have to think not only about the contents of my paper, coherence and organizing, but also grammar and appropriate words. As it is, I cannot trust this paper unless I really make no grammar mistakes and choose appropriate words. In addition, searching for good words and thinking about grammar robs much time from me, and unfortunately, sometimes my dictionary does not have the appropriate words that I want to say. When I was a university student in Japan, I did not have to spend so much time to write my papers. Indeed, I could easily find my topic, organize the topic in my mind and write it quickly. Now, I use Japanese to think about the contents of my paper, coherence and organizing, but I need more time to do that than I did t in Japan, and unfortunately, I cannot seem to find the reason why this is true. In the end, I hope that I will write quickly and correctly as a cheetah hunts its game. Also, I would like to make a passage that does not have any wasteful parts, like the muscle of a cheetah. Moreover, I would really like to write a graceful paper, which looks like a cheetah's movement during its hunting, although it cannot maintain its graceful chasing for a long time. I will work hard to achieve my goals. Photos from: |
