How do I join the Pirates? How do I join Manifest Destiny?
If you would like to join the Pirates (or our Horde guild, Manifest Destiny), send a petition to phpirates@gmail.com, telling us why you think you should be allowed to join. We've never turned down a petition yet, but membership is limited to those with a positive association with our beloved academic home on the hill.
Once you recieve an e-mail welcoming you to the guild, fire up WoW, create a character on the Silver Hand server, and then private message Iounu, Morighann, Sahar, Nny, or Gamedis. For Manifest Destiny, crate a character on The Scryers server, and message Kyldare or Iounu.
What's
in it for me?
All new adventurers get a gift of guild tabard and one gold piece just for joining. Additionally, due to our small size and personal real life connectedness, each guild member is personally invested in keeping things low drama, high fun, and is actively supportive of other guild members.
What
if I want to do large scale raiding? How can I do that in such a small guild?
Fortunately, Silver Hand is home to one of WoW's most successful raiding groups: Leftovers. By enabling players from small guilds - or no guild at all - to coordinate and raid together, Leftovers allows its members to experience Azeroth's high-end content, while having fun, and maintaining their existing guild allegiances. By way of Leftovers and related groups, Pirates are currently raiding Karazhan, Gruul's Lair, Magtheridon's Lair, Serpentshrine Cavern, The Eye, and Zul'Aman.
Note: Being a Pirate does not mean you must join Leftovers, nor will joining the Pirates automatically make you part of Leftovers-though we do recommend Leftovers if you are interested in high-end raiding.
Short
people scare me -- do you have a Horde guild?
The Pirate's Horde guild is Manifest Destiny, on The Scryers server -- other than being Horde and on a different server, Manifest Destiny works exactly like the Pirates of Palatine Hill.
Is it true you have your own real life pirate?
Though we cannot either confirm nor deny the presence of a real life pirate in our guild, we will leave you with the following question: have you ever seen David?
If I
join the Pirates, can I get into Lewis & Clark College?
No. We have no control over admissions. None of us work in admissions. However, if you are admitted, may we suggest requesting Forest as your place of residence. Forest is, in our WoW parlance, the Stormwind of Lewis & Clark's residential system.
You
didn't answer my question.
Learn2questionkkthanksbye.
No, just kidding. Have a question not answered above? Send it to phpirates@gmail.com.
Yo, ho! Yo, ho! A Pirate's Life for Me!
