Free University is an alternative "college-within-a-college" where Lewis and Clark faculty, staff, students, alumni, and Portland neighbors can start their own courses and discussion groups. Classes can range from the traditional, such as a philosophy discussion group, to the practical, such as Knitting, to the unusual, such as Introduction to Witchcraft. Free University was established to bring people together to learn in a safe and supportive environment. Participating in Free University is a fantastic way to meet other people who share similar interests and ideas. There are no tuition charges, grades or fees for any Free University courses.
