As of April 2, 2002: We are still in the process of chasing people down to create a survey to figure out the demand on campus to see if students, faculty, and staff would have any interest in participating in a carsharing program. We've been working with Flexcar to create a survey to determine the demand. We feel that carsharing would be beneficial to L&C because it would decrease the amount of cars needed on campus, and reduce emissions produced by the cars.
We also want to advocate the carpooling service that is alreadyestablished on campus. Here is the link to the "commuter computer" which helps to decrease cars from off-campus students by coordinating rides for students who live close to one another. http://www.lclark.edu/~lccc/.
