| 9:00-9:30 | Opening: Overview of Environmental Justice. Jeri Sundvall will discuss what environmental justice is, why it is relevant, its history, its relationship to environmentalism and to the law, and what some of the major themes and tensions are. |
| 9:45-11:15 | Session 1: Urban Topics in EJ. Sessions 1 and 2 will introduce the scope of the issues that environmental justice encompasses, with a highlight on local and regional issues. Environmental justice practitioners from different perspectives, e.g. community resident, organizer, activist, academic, legal professional (not mutually exclusive categories) will discuss the basics of some of the hot issues for environmental justice communities, practitioners, and scholars, and for Portland. | 11:30-1:00 | Session 2: Rural and Tribal Topics in EJ. This session has a similar format to Session 1, above. |

| 2:00-3:30 | Session 3: Tools for Change. Speakers will outline different strategies for advocates to promote equitable, sustainable, and just environmental decision making in our communities. Speakers include Kevin O'Dell (OPAL), Bruce Watts (Tri-Met), JoAnn Bowman (Oregon Action), Greta Freudenburg (on SEP's), and Running Grass (EPA Region 10). |
| 3:30-4:30 | Session 4: Tools for Change. A chance to network and collaborate with other local EJ figures and to brainstorm about obstacles, goals, and strategies for addressing a particular local EJ issue. |
