Contrary to popular belief, Brandon is not entering law school or advanced study in economics.  After a year of work and taking entry examinations for graudate study, he realized that it is a good time to work if one can find a good job.  As luck would have it, he did.

He has begun a series of examinations in actuarial science with pension applications.  The short explanation of his work with Milliman USA as a Pension Administrator/Actuarial Student, is that he works with companies that have defined benefit retirement plans to determine how much money they need to invest in order to provide retirement income for their employees when they retire.  These exams will keep him busy (approximately 500 hours of studying every 6 months, in addition to wrok) and he will be taking examinations for five to six years.  However, he has not ruled out an advanced degree of some sort once he has completed the exams.  Basically, he is happy to be employed in Portland, Oregon and getting paid to learn at the same time.

He will be marrying Natalie Domingcil on August 3, 2003 in Aurora, Oregon.  She is also a Lewis & Clark College graduate (2001) with a degree in psychology.  They plan to be in the Portland area for several more years and hope to start a family in the near future.  Natalie is currently employed as a case manager for a young parent program in the Tigard area.  She is planning to pursue an advanced degree at some point in either social service, psychology or education.
