Media Car Technology How You Can Help Our Story About the Club Photo Gallery

The core technology of electric cars can be simplified to the following three parts:

1. A powerful motor to get you somewhere.
Electric cars feature a motor, basically a larger version of the ones featured in fans, air conditioning units, and even hair dryers. Some electric cars can use four smaller motors, one for each wheel.

2. Electronics that control the motor and other amenities.
Fun accessories like a cd player, radio, air conditioning, and even windshield wipers are included along with safety equipment like every other car.
3. A battery pack that stores the energy.
The battery is where all the action's at, and no electric car would be complete without one. The battery pack does for electric cars like what the gasoline storage tank does for gas cars, it stores the fuel to power the car.

Apart from a number of various other electrical components, this is how simple electric cars can be. If you're amazed, well, join the crowd. The simplicity behind an electric vehicle compared to a gasoline vehicle is one of the benefits of going electric.
