Welcome to the Virtual Chancery Court!
The Virtual Chancery Court is a law school course designed to provide
students with insights into the judicial decision making process and
the substantive law governing battles for control of corporations. The
title of the course alludes to the Delaware Court of Chancery, which
is widely regarded as the nation's premier court on matters of
corporate law. The course has been developed by Professors D. Gordon
Smith of Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College and
Lawrence A. Hamermesh of Widener University School of Law (Delaware
Campus), both of whom are Delaware lawyers.
