Meeting Minutes
May 3, 2006
Present: Julio de
Paula, Dean of the College; Rob Kugler, Dean of Arts and
Humanities; Gary Reiness, Dean of Mathematical and Natural
Sciences; Harry Schleef, Dean of Social Sciences; Mervyn
Brockett, Assistant to the President; and Terri Banasek,
Executive Assistant and recorder.
Announcements
- Clark Yeager has been hired as Director of Physical
Education and Athletics. He comes to the College with
over 20 years of experience as a coach and
administrator.
Agenda Items
- Academic Council agreed that, under the new
administrative structure, the forensics program will
report directly to Dean de Paula.
- Divisional deans will review the salary review files
and report back with recommendations for Academic Council
action.
- Academic Council will meet all day on Tuesday, May
16, to do salary reviews. If additional time is needed,
it will meet again on Tuesday, May 23. It was suggested
that it may be a good idea to include the new Associate
Dean, if one is appointed by then.
