Meeting Minutes
June 18, 2003
Present: Curtis
Johnson, Dean of the College; Stephanie Arnold, Dean of Arts
and Humanities; Greg Fredricks, Interim Dean of Mathematical
and Natural Sciences; and Harry Schleef, Dean of Social
Sciences; Rosie Healy, administrative assistant for budgets
and contracts; and Terri Banasek, administrative assistant
and recorder.
Agenda Items
- Academic Council discussed the appropriate membership
of the cas-faculty listserv. Dean Johnson gets frequent
requests from people who wish to be added so they can be
"in the loop." The Council agreed that Dean Johnson
should make the decisions regarding additions to the
list. He will also remind faculty from time to time of
the proper use of the listserv. It was noted that there
is another listserv, cas-tt, that is made up of voting
faculty only. Discussion of faculty issues should be
directed to this listserv.
- Academic Council made changes to the deadlines for
promotion and tenure reviews, developmental reviews, and
salary reviews. The changes will be reflected in the
2003-04 academic calendar distributed to faculty. Ms.
Banasek will send reminders to the divisional deans as
deadlines approach.
