My treatise, Federal Tax Valuation, and its 2009 Cumulative Supplement No. 2 are now on sale. The book is published by Warren Gorham & Lamont, a division of Thomson Reuters. On Westlaw, the book is the database WGL-VALU; on RIA Checkpoint, it's in the Estate Planning library.

The treatise has brought me more than my 15 minutes of fame, and I have done a fair amount of travelling around the country talking about valuation. I recently gave talks to professional groups on the subject in Denver, Austin, and Portland.

The United States Tax Court has now cited the treatise six times over the years. In Capital Blue Cross v. Commissioner, 122 T.C. 224, 245 (2004), the court called it "a leading valuation treatise." I couldn't be happier about that.
