The Evan T. Williams General
Chemistry Award
This award was
established in 2005 in memory of Evan T. Williams. While Evan is perhaps best known for
establishing the Environmental Studies Program, he was a beloved member of the
Chemistry Department. Evan taught
General Chemistry frequently while at Lewis & Clark College
as well as Environmental Studies classes and Inventing America. This award is to be given annually to one of
the top freshman in the class who, like Evan did, has an interest in politics
and/or the environment.
