Honors Convocation

Julio de Paula, Dean, College of Arts & Sciences, emcees the annual Honors Convocation at which time the College honors those seniors who have "...soared beyond the usual to achieve the extraordinary."

Seniors earning departmental honors will be introduced by their respective department chair and invited forward to receive formal recognition.

Additionally, seniors who have earned other academic and co-curricular awards and scholarships will be introduced and applauded. These awards include several that have been presented at other recognition ceremonies--athletics, student life, and community service.

The convocation concludes with the introduction of several senior finalists for two awards--the American Association of University Women Award, and the Rene J. Ratte Award--and the recipient of each of these prestigious awards is announced by the Dean of the College.

A reception follows in Frank Manor House, Armstrong Lounge.
