Kim Feicke, Co-Director

As director of Small Schools Northwest at Lewis & Clark College, Kim brings 10 years of classroom experience, a master's degree in educational administration, and a wide array of experience in facilitating professional development and school improvement initiatives in public schools.

Amy Schuff, Co-Director

Amy taught high school social studies for eleven years, and currently works as an Assistant Principal at Gresham High School. She has been active in Critical Friends Group work as a member, coach and trainer since 1996. Amycurrently serves on the with the National School Reform Faculty Accountability Council and has been a CFG facilitator since 2001. She har participanted in several national facilitators and coaches meetings.

Andy Kulak, CFG Facilitator

Andy is an English teacher and teacher leader at Jefferson High School in Portland. He has been active in Critical Friends Group work as a member, coach, and school coordinator for several years. Since becoming a CFG Facilitator in early 2005 he has facilitated several local and regional trainings and attended a national facilitator's meeting.

Nancy Leonhardt, CFG Facilitator

Nancy is a Media Arts educator who has worked as an artist-in-the schools and as a public high school educator for the past 15 years. She has been active in high school reform efforts and Critical Friends Group work for the last 9 years as an instructional coach, CFG facilitator and teacher leader. In January 2006, Nancy relocated with her family to the Portland area from Seattle and has come aboard as a CFG Facilitator.

Hilary Kaltenbach, CFG Facilitator

Hilary is an English teacher and instructional coach at Liberty High School in Hillsboro. She has been active in high school reform efforts and Critical Friends Group work for the last 8 years. Since becoming a CFG Facilitator in 2005 she has facilitated several local and regional trainings.

Jerry Eaton, CFG Facilitator

Jerry is a proud Portland native and product of the local educational system. He teaches writing and language arts at Joseph Meek Professional Technical High School. Jerry was trained as a coach in 2002 and has coached a CFG at his school since then. He joined the Small Schools Northwest team as a CFG Facilitator in 2004 and is a National Board Certified teacher.

Mike Howser, CFG Facilitator

Mike Howser is a faculty member in the Lewis & Clark College Educational Leadership program. Mike has been a leader in public education her entire career serving in several school districts as teacher, school administrator and district administrator. She brings with her a wide background of knowledge about the power of collaborative learning communities and what it means to implement them in schools and districts.

Betty Flad, CFG Facilitator

Betty Flad is the Director of Professional Development at Beaverton School District and adjunct faculty for the the Lewis & Clark College Educational Leadership program. Betty has been a leader in public education her entire career serving in several school districts as teacher, school administrator and district administrator. She brings with her a wide background of knowledge about the power of collaborative learning communities and what it means to implement them in schools and districts.
