Some common things SAAB Tutoring does not do!
1. It is not a program that professors can require you to attend or participate in any form. A professor may suggest you get a tutor, but they cannot require you get tutoring through SAAB as part of your grade or as a requirement for a class.
2. It is not a replacement for the Math Skills Center, Writing Center, Physics Help Center, or Chemistry Help Center. All of these centers are there to help you with those specific subjects and are available every week. If you need help in one of these subject areas it is usually best for you to attend one of these centers and then if you need additional help, come get a SAAB tutor.
3. It does not give you extra tutoring even if you think you really need it. We are on a budget. If you need additional help there is always Student Support Services to help you with other educational needs.
4. SAAB Tutors do not have training in learning disabilities.
Some common things SAAB Tutoring does do!
1. It gives 2 free hours of tutoring per week per subject. Yes! This means you can get a little bit of help with any of your subjects.
2. You set the time and location so it fits your schedule.
3. You can meet as often or as little as you want.
4. It is tailored to your needs.
5. IT'S FREE!!!
6. If SAAB Tutoring does not have a tutor for a department, e-mail tutoring@lclark.edu and request a tutor in that subject!
