College of Arts and Sciences ASLC Community Relations Board Readership Program

ASLC Readership Program

New York Times

Each day 200 free papers are distributed across campus by students. The program was designed to provide students with a greater awareness of the world beyond Palatine Hill. Professors have also integrated the paper into their curriculum, and this has encouraged more thoughtful discussion across campus, This program is funded through student fees and the General Allocations Board.

Speaker

The New York Times Readership Program provides students two free New York Times journalist speakers every year. We would love student input for interesting topics and/or journalists for next year, 2009-2010!

Oregonian

Free Oregonian newspapers are also available to students throughout the campus. This portion of the Readership program provides students more local news and information. The Oregonian has generously donated 200 free issues every day of the week.
