Deadlines
Conference Applications and Visiting Scholar Applications are funded on a rolling basis throughout the semester and are due at 5:00pm on Wednesday to be reviewed the following week.
Arts Expression and Research applications are reviewed once a semester, respectively. The deadlines are as follows for the Fall 2008 semester:
-Arts Expression Grants: Wednesday October 21 at noon
-Research Grants: Wednesday, November 4 at noon
All applications should be delivered to the SAAB office or placed under the door before the appropriate deadline. Upon submitting their paperwork, applicants will be notified by email with further details.
Note: There are no exceptions granted for due dates—plan ahead! Applications must have ALL required elements in order to be heard by the board. Make sure to contact SAAB members in advance in order to procure a signature for your grant. Contact a SAAB officer or your department representative if you have questions!
Tips
Start now! Remember that you’ll want suggestions from friends and professors, and you’ll need two SAAB members to edit and sign your grant. If you contact Board members the day before a deadline, you are unlikely to procure a signature, so plan ahead. We’re busy students too….
Email SAAB or visit our office hours. We want you to get funded and we can help you navigate the process.
Revise, revise, revise. Your application should be excellent and free of any errors. Typos are an indication of a lack of concern and will diminish your chances of being funded.
