What is ASLC?

The Associated Students of Lewis & Clark Executive Council is a group of elected and appointed students who work to improve the student experience at Lewis & Clark College. To accomplish this, the Council seeks to distribute student fees fairly and responsibly and to represent students' concerns to the faculty, staff, administration and Board of Trustees.

ASLC Student Government: Behind the Magic

What does that mean for me?

If there is something you would like to see changed at Lewis & Clark, or you have general concerns about campus life and would like your chance to air it to a student leader rather than to an Administrator, ASLC is your gateway to that opportunity! Simply check out our directory to find out who the best person to contact is. And don't forget to also check out the Activities Congress, ASLC's programming board! It's a great opportunity for students, both residents and non-residents, to get involved in planning traditional events such as Homecoming and Casino Night as well as working with Lewis & Clark Music Coalition (LCMC) to help bring concerts to campus!

How is ASLC organized? (Who does what?)

Community Relations Board (CRB) works as a liaison between ASLC, student groups, faculty members, neighbors, outside vendors (NYTimes) and the neighboring college.

Activities Congress is the central programming board that helps plan student activities such as Homecoming and Casino Night.

General Allocations Board (GAB) is responsible for allocating funds on an ad hoc basis.

Peer Review Authority (PRA) is involved with matters of alleged conduct violations and acts as arbiter of issues concerning the bylaws.

Chartering and Budgeting Board is responsible for allocating funds to all student groups.

Student Organizations Committee (CSOC) is a committee comprised of all student group leaders who can collaborate ideas and concerns with the ASLC VP for Student Organizations

Elections Commission is responsible for designing and executing all elections that occur under ASLC.

Executive Vice President also places interested students on a variety of committees including the Bon Committee, the Bylaws Review Committee and the Transfer Student Committee.
