Faculty Council Meeting Minutes - September 28, 2006

Present: Julio de Paula, Dean of the College; Jane Hunter, Associate Dean; Cliff Bekar, Associate Professor of Economics; Dinah Dodds, Professor of German; Deborah Heath, Associate Professor of Anthropology; Elizabeth Safran, Associate Professor of Geological Sciences; and Terri Banasek, Executive Assistant and recorder.

Announcements

• Dean de Paula asked that faculty members announce the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial Symposium events to be held on September 29 and 30 to students.


• Dr. Dodds announced that the week of October 2 is International German week, with several events being held on campus, including a showing of the film, “Goodbye Stalin."


• The Environmental Affairs Symposium is Monday-Wednesday, October 2-4.

1. The minutes of September 21, 2006, were approved as written.
2. Faculty Council discussed the music department position requests.
