2009 SAAC Community Outreach Day

A handful of student-athletes headed down the hill to Riverdale Grade School on April 15th to help run two PE classes of 3rd graders and kindergartners. Despite some end-of-the-year lethargy, these brave Pios showed true spirit and energy while teaching new games and helping with sports skills. There was not a rested face to be seen after a gruelling 45 minutes of running, screaming, tag, duck-duck-goose, red light/green light, and a variety of other PE games, yet this did not deter the kids from asking for more. After such a fun day and fabulous reception, SAAC hopes to turn Community Outreach Day into a more regular interaction with the local grade school in the future.
