Kristen Aker Howell ’90 is married to David Howell. The couple have two daughters: Sarah, 6, and Abby, 2.

Leigh Otting ’90 gave birth to Oscar Otting Sloop in January 2001. Mother, baby, and father Daniel Sloop ’90 are healthy, happy, and living in Portland.

Gary Arkoff ’91 lives in Santa Rosa, California. He received a master’s degree in business administration in December 1998 and is now employed in winery management while looking for a job as an executive recruiter.

Anthony Catalan III ’91 and Sandra Merryfield were married July 21. Anthony is a service consultant for Trashco Services, and Sandra is a financial analyst for Tektronix. The couple live in Portland.

Ann Flannigan ’91 is a senior public information officer with the Washing-ton State Senate. She recently performed in a production of Moliere’s The Misanthrope.

John Lunn ’91 is in the master of divinity program at Regent College, Vancouver, B.C.

Jennifer Brown Clemente (formerly Jennifer C. Brown) ’92 returned to the United States last May after living in Central Europe for 10 years. She currently works for IBM in San Francisco with Marisa Shumway ’92, handling integrated media relations and outreach to developer publications. She decided to change her name after discovering another Jennifer C. Brown with the same Social Security number.

Holly Hanna ’92 lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and consults for Stanford University. She recently obtained her master of library and information science degree from the University of Washington.

Robert "Bob" Niendorf ’92 is a corporate real estate manager with Weyerhaeuser Company in Federal Way, Washington. He married in August 2000 and his wife, Julie, had a baby boy, Kyle, that September. Bob, Julie, and their son live in Tacoma, Washington, and welcome e-mails from old friends at robert.niendorf@ weyerhaeuser.com.

Jill Saling ’92 and Jamieson Rear ’92 were recently married.

Heather Lechner ’93 is working as a program director for Teach for America in New Orleans.

Brigitta Lee ’93 is in her first year of a doctoral program in East Asian Studies at Princeton University, where she is studying classical Chinese poetry. She received a master’s degree in Chinese literature at the University of Colorado in 1998.

Sagala Gajendra Ratnayaka ’93 was elected a member of the House of Parliament of Sri Lanka in the October 2000 Sri Lankan general election.

McDanell "Mac" Brown ’94 was promoted to account executive on the Microsoft SQL Server PR team at Waggener Edstrom, where he has worked for two years. Before joining Waggener Edstrom, Brown worked in nonprofit public relations and government relations/public relations.

Lasse Melgaard ’94, after graduating from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, accepted a job with the United Nations Capital Development Fund. He spent three years with the U.N. fund in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with a short stint in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He also worked for the fund in Kampala, Uganda, before returning to his native Copenhagen, Denmark, in January.

Robert Winslow Blunt ’95 has been admitted to the doctoral program in cultural anthropology at the University of Chicago.

Tammy "Jo" Becker ’96 was recognized as an "achiever" in the Achiever Spotlight program sponsored by the Oregon Association of Realtors. Becker led the design of Fair Housing educational Forums aimed at educating members on market diversity. She was also instrumental in drafting a partnership agreement between the department of Housing and Urban Develop-ment and the Oregon Association of Realtors.

Vicki Gettings ’97 is teaching Spanish at the International School of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Jenny E. Johnson ’97 gave birth to a daughter, Fiona Caerdwyn, in May. Koeby C. Johnson ’97, husband and father, is enjoying his second year teaching social studies and English to middle school students in Medford, where the couple live.

Debbie Lynne McInturff Reed ’97 married Andrew William Reed on August 11 in Wesleyan Church in Vancouver, Washington. She is a medical technologist with Providence Health Systems. Her husband is a park ranger at Fort Vancouver National Historic Reserve. They live in Vancouver.

Chris Stack ’97 played Alec, a drummer, in "The Education of Max Bickford." He was in the second and third episodes of this CBS drama series starring Academy Award winner Richard Dreyfuss.

Stephen Michael Walter ’97 is studying for his master’s degree in contemporary British history at the University of London.

Jennifer Rensch ’98 married Rafael Rodriguez on July 28. Rodriguez is a manager at E-San Thai Cuisine. The couple live in Beaverton.

Tamar Salomon ’98 is moving to Portland, where she will enroll in the Australasian School of Herbal Studies.

Brent Swanson ’98 and Anne Stone ’00 announce their marriage.

Jessica Tanner ’98 graduated from Southern Oregon University with a master’s degree in teaching in June. Tanner is teaching third grade in the Sherwood School District.

Matthias Fripp ’99 has received a Berkeley Fellowship, awarded to 20 incoming doctoral students each year at the University of California at Berkeley.

Jason Morgan ’99 married Devon Wooldridge Morgan on July 21. Jason Morgan is a real estate consultant at Johnson Gardner. The couple reside in Riverside, California, where they will both attend the University of California at Riverside.
