Wes Lawrence ’81 has been appointed president of Key Bank for Oregon and southwest Washington. He and his wife, Karen, have just had their third child, Trent Jamison Lawrence. The couple live in Portland with their children: Kelsy, 14, Chase, 3, and Trent.

Adrienne Inglis ’82 of Austin, Texas, plays in the Latin American folk music trio Chaski, which recently released a new compact disc, Unay. The disc features love songs, dance tunes, and festival music from Bolivia, Peru, Argentina, and Venezuela, as well as original compositions and ancient Sephardic songs. Fred Jacobs ’82 is living in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, with his wife and 9-year-old daughter. He is still trying to figure out how to make a living by eating an apple while juggling three objects; however, he did find gainful employment in the offshore mutual fund business.

Alison Newman Myers ’82 has obtained a graduate degree in early childhood education from the University of Oregon. She has been working in parent education and family services for the last 10 years and is currently working with Linn-Benton Community College supervising foster family visits. Meyers completed the Portland Marathon in October 2000 and has since enjoyed biking in Corvallis, where she, her husband, and their four children moved last spring.

Carl Guess ’85 and his wife, Katy, announce the birth of their second daughter, Greta Carolyn Guess, in June. Carl, Katy, Bailey, and Greta live in Seattle.

Gary L. Gallagher ’87 and his wife, Portia, were married in April of 1995. In February 2001, they welcomed the birth of their son, Benjamin Patrick. Gallagher is a plastic surgeon in Medford. He received his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University and completed his residency training through Yale University before training in plastic surgery at Rush University and cosmetic surgery in San Francisco.

Deanna Scroggin Nihill ’87 has been using her science skills while teaching natural childbirth classes and leading nature walks for preschoolers. She has been busy with motherhood since she had her third child in June 2000.

Susanne Richards Fine ’88 graduated with a doctorate in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University and is moving back to Ashland with her family.

Adriene Young Langdon ’88 announces the birth of her daughter Christina Lelani Langdon on February 23, 2001.

Hideo Nagura ’88 was appointed vice president of Know Capital Corporation, a boutique investment bank specializing in mergers and acquisitions and an affiliate of Tokyo-Mitsubishi.

Patricia "Pattie" Brooke ’89 is learning the ropes of parenthood with her husband, Jude, and their 7-month-old baby, Biko.

Mark Alan Fellows ’89 announces his marriage to Andrea Marie Olson. Fellows is a business intelligence consultant at Caribou Lake Software in Minneapolis, and Olson is with Olson Consulting Group in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Shereen Reaney Horton ’89 married John Horton of Hillsboro. She teaches fifth grade at Mooberry Elementary School and reports that she designed the school’s Web site.

Sacha Hewitt Kostick ’89 and Uri A. Kostick were married June 23, on Vail Mountain in Colorado. Kostick is a marketing manager for a ski resort operator, Vail Resorts. The couple live in Vail.

Elizabeth "Liz" Prato ’89 has a massage therapy and fitness-coaching practice. She and her husband, Michael, live in Portland. She is still writing the great American novel.

Daniel Stengert ’89 returned to Portland last summer after serving in Kosovo as a member of the 10th Special Forces Group, part of the Special Operations Command and Control Element at Camp Bondsteel. Stengert, who was an international affairs major from Germany, became a U.S. citizen in 1997.

Todd Battenfield Wynward ’89 and his wife, Margaret Bartlett, have adopted a baby and are developing a new charter school in Taos, New Mexico.
