Kathleen Healy-Wedsworth ’63 married Tom Healy-Wedsworth in May 1994. She serves as the minister of music at the Presbyterian Church of Tom River, New Jersey, a 2,500-member church with an active music ministry.

Thomas A. Walker ’63 received the 2000 Oregon Academy of General Dentistry’s Dentist of the Year award. Walker has served on the board of directors of Oregon Dental Service and was active with the Metro Ski League from Aloha High School. His practice is in Cedar Hills.

David Fahner ’65 received a doctor of ministry degree in May 2000 from the Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia.

Thomas M. Masterson ’68 is the managing director of Resources Connection, a NASDAQ-listed professional services company. His wife of 10 years, Sarah, is head of corporate communications for HR Trade Development Council. Masterson and the late Fay Meyers Masterson ’69 had two sons, both of whom are now married. His daughter, Siri, entered the University of Hawaii last fall.

Elyse Giordano Nemes ’69, M.A.T. ’73 retired in 2000 after 30 years of teaching high school English and journalism in the Portland area. Her two children, GM and TJ, are both married. GM is the mother of two grandchildren: Laren Elyse, 3, and Benjamin Michael, 1, born on Valentine’s Day 2001. Nemes divides her time between babysitting her grandchildren and catching up on projects.

Mike Nichols '63Mike Nichols ’63 recently returned from Cumaná, Venezuela, where he was a member of a Rotaplast Inter-national surgical team that performed 90 surgical repairs of cleft lip and palate deformities on needy children. He is currently studying for a master’s degree in counseling psychology at Lewis & Clark’s Graduate School of Education. Christina Nichols, daughter of Mike Nichols and Patricia Barber Nichols ’70, is a junior at Lewis & Clark College.

Larry Olsen '64Larry Olsen ’64 has been appointed associate dean for academics and research for New Mexico State University College of Health and Social Services.

David Grube '69David Grube ’69 has been appointed to a three-year term on Oregon’s Board of Medical Examiners. Grube has been in private practice in Philomath since 1977. He is currently president of the Foundation of the Oregon Academy of Family Physicians, and is an associate professor of clinical medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. He recently traveled to Ukraine to lecture at an international family medicine conference.
