The Tenth Annual Meeting of the American Physical Society's Northwest Section will be held Thursday Evening through Saturday Afternoon 15 - 17 May 2008, at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR. This meeting brings together participants from institutions in the Northwest region of the United States and Western Canada.

Details For Speakers

Contributed talks are 10 minutes long with an additional 2 minutes for discussion.

Plenary talks are 30 minutes long with an additional 6 minutes for discussion. They are directed to a broad audience of physicists and students from a variety of fields.

Audiovisual - Session venues will be equipped with digital projectors and both Windows(TM) and Macintosh(TM) computers loaded with Microsoft PowerPoint(TM). Presenters should employ portable media such as CD-ROM or flash drives. Time will be available for pre-loading presentations onto the hard drives of the conference computers before the start of a session. Presenters may also bring their presentations on their own laptops to plug into the audio-visual system. Overhead projectors will also be available for speakers who wish to use transparencies.

Posters should be approximately 40 inches wide by 30 inches tall. Posters may be attached to easels and panels by pushpins. However, pushpins are unlikely to overcome a long time spent tightly rolled up in a mailing tube.
