Graduate School Northwest Writing Institute Workshops for Imaginative Writing

The Writer to Writer seminar encourages creative writing by high school students through interaction with professional writers in fiction, poetry, screenwriting, journalism, and other forms. Since 1984, the seminar has been offered as an annual week-long summer event, drawing students from throughout Oregon, but primarily from the Portland metro area. The Writer to Writer Workshop will not be offered in summer 2007. For information or with questions call 503-768-6162 or email mcdevitt@lclark.edu.

First offered in 1989, the Fir Acres Workshop in Writing and Thinking is a two-week residential summer program which invites participants from across the country to engage in creative and critical writing, collaborative learning, and reading and writing across the disciplines. For information about the 2007 program, contact the Office of the Vice President & Provost at (503) 768-7200 or provost@lclark.edu.
