William StaffordHouse of Words: a Retreat for Teachers

THIS CLASS IS FULL

Participants will convene at the William Stafford Archive to develop clusters of text and audio for use as poetry curriculum units of a day, a week, or more. This will be a journey into the digital and paper resources of the William Stafford Archive in search of primary resources for teaching poetry, ideas, a sense of place, citizenship, and other topics.

Dates: Monday-Friday, July 13-17, 9am – 4pm.
Eight $750 teacher stipends are available.

Credit: 2 sh of continuing education credit, CEED/CELA 866, $700

Following the summer program, two William Stafford Fellows will further our inquiry by visiting Oregon schools for writing and inquiry.
