Our New Teachers’ Conversations program provides the opportunity for new teachers to reflect on their work, collaborate with their peers, and hone their skills in a supportive, site-based environment. Our data show that new teachers hunger for conversations. The New Teachers’ Conversations program draws much from the field-tested work developed by TC Innovations at Columbia Teachers College. We also bring our own experience with and research on beginning teachers regarding the construction of (and support for) teacher knowledge in the field. Our expertise in teacher-research and literacy across the curriculum will help forge a connection between practice and theory.
