Sports Hall of Fame Turns 25

Nearly 200 Pio fans attended the silver anniversary celebration of Lewis & Clark’s Sports Hall of Fame on October 19.

This year’s honorees included Dan Ruhl ’92, baseball and football; Doug Nichols ’90, baseball; Zoe Iltis Winkle ’89, swimming; Mark Pinder ’78, football and track and field. The 1990 baseball team, coached by recently retired Jerry Gatto, was inducted as well.

The Department of Physical Education and Athletics also honored the 1978 inaugural Hall of Fame class, which included Reuben Baisch, Jim Boutin, Pat Clock, Caley Cook, Jim Davis, Royce McDaniel, Bob Pollard, Ken Servas, Pete Ward, and Merlin "Bud" White.
