One of the Greatest Places
Lewis & Clark's campus is lauded in the new book American Places: In Search of the Twenty-First Century Campus, by M. Perry Chapman.
In a chapter titled "Globalization of the Academy," Chapman states that Lewis & Clark "has dedicated itself to the development of a campus environment that will facilitate the cross-cultural educational experience that it is striving to achieve." He is particularly complimentary of the College's commitment to a residential community designed to "integrate 'living, learning, and discourse . . . in a seamless college experience.' "
American Places is published by the American Council on Education/Praeger Series on Higher Education.
