Virginia Smith Poling ’34 lives with her youngest son, Edward, in Hagerstown, Maryland. She and her late husband, Newton, had four children: James, a professor at Garrett Seminary; Emerson, a physician; Edward, a Church of the Brethren pastor; and Rebecca, a music therapist and publisher of books for seniors. Poling has eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
