An Art History major with a Physics minor is a strange combination to say the least, but at L&C it works. I love the people here, and have found that the best advice for a prospective student is to figure out what makes YOU happy. Pay close attention to the student body and the student-teacher relationship at all the schools you consider and find something that you know will make you happy.

I think my favorite classes have been West African Drumming and History of the Pacific Northwest, neither of which have anything to do with my academic focus. I also participate in College Outdoors, yoga, Croquet Club, and the Co-op. I’m only a sophomore and don’t know where I’ll be studying abroad yet, but I think Ecuador, Italy, or Ghana would all be amazing — too many choices!

In the meantime, I just play and listen to music, color, read, and work. Enjoy the sun when it’s sunny and enjoy the rain when it’s raining — either way, Portland is great.
