Looking back on this entire experience and all the good, bad, amazing, discouraging, and uplifting experiences, I can say that I am happy with my decision to go here. For four years I’ve been surrounded with people that have been there for me and have put so many things into perspective. Yes, I could have gone to a big UC like most people from my high school, but I wanted more.

Everything is moving along, as it should. I’m just polishing up my thesis, I’m slowly packing up my belongings, and finishing up my classes in a very cool, calm, and collected manner. I must admit I do have those occasional moments of panic, when I wonder where the road is going to take me. For what it’s worth, I know that everything I’ve learned here in and out of the classroom, combined with my drive and persistence, will ultimately take me to where I want to be. With that, I say THANK YOU to everyone and anyone who has been there with me when the rain began and when the sun appeared. I’m not very good with goodbyes, and I know that the last week and a half will not be enough to give myself closure, but that’s ok. This isn’t good bye, it’s more of a see you later. See you later at a time when we’ll be able to look back at this experience and say, “Those were the times.”

Once a Pio, Always a Pio

Thank you for the memories,

Melissa
