Hey! I just realized that I haven’t blogged since March 14th!! I am so sorry! So much has been going on; I guess it got lost in the shuffle. I’ll try to catch you all up on what I’ve been doing!
Two weekends ago, I went to my Computer Science professor’s house for a Chinese food and German board games party. Peter Drake holds this party each semester, and it’s getting so popular that most of the math department comes, too! We played games for five hours and ate loads of Chinese food. Yum!
The week before spring break, I went to Cirque du Soleil with my friends. It was an amazing show! The whole time I was thinking, “Oh my gosh, how do they do that?” There was a juggling act in the show, and my L&C Juggling Club can do pretty much everything we saw that night. Cool, huh? Of course, not all of us can do the back flips they did in the routine!
Last week was spring break, and I had such a busy week! In fact, I’m still at home on break. My plane back to school leaves at 6:00 am tomorrow morning. The first weekend of break, I went up to Tri Cities, Washington to visit a family that I met at the Portland Juggling Festival. The girls are 10 and 8, and I had so much fun with them! We performed in a juggling show on Saturday, had a wonderful Sunday full of Easter egg hunts, and had a girls’ night Sunday night. I got back to school on Monday at around 5:00 pm, and then a cab picked me up Tuesday morning at 4:30 to take me to the airport for my loooong flight home. I got to my house that night at 10:30 and surprised my mom and sisters for their birthdays. They didn’t know I was coming!
I’ve had an amazing week at home with my family. I haven’t thought about school at ALL, so I’ll probably be doing homework on the plane back. This week I went out to lunch with my sister and best friend, juggled with the Indiana University Juggling Club, walked to the mall with my mom and sister, and went to Pennsylvania for the weekend with my whole family. We visited Carnegie Mellon University for my little sister. She’ll be a senior next year! It’s a great school, but the visit reminded me of my love for Lewis & Clark. I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t chosen L&C!
I hope you like the pictures from the past few weeks. I’ll write again next week!
Remember- if you have any questions, my email is lbrown@lclark.edu.
Good luck on your college search!
