Party! Summer's Almost Here!

Well I promise, I had an eventful week even if I don't have any pictures to prove it. This was the last week, two days of classes, and a golf tournament on the weekend.

I finished my Spanish class on Friday with an interview and class evaluations. For all the pent up anxiety built up around my interview for the equivalent final, it turned out I was fretting about it too much. I felt good about it, and even better about completing my first year of Spanish.

Completing Friday was agood feeling, for sure. It left me with only one more day to worry about, and two essays to get done before a smooth finals and completion of my first year in college! It really flew this semester!

On Saturday, the golf team headed south to the Mackenzie River to go play in the conference championship tournament at Tokatee. The two days were very much golf filled, and couldn't have been a better reprieve from classes. On the last day as well, I prepped myself for hopefully a good fall coming up. I finished that last eight holes one over par with two birdies. Even though it is sometimes time consuming, I have to admit, being a student athelete was a whole lot of fun.

Unfortunately I got back to campus to face off with my research paper that has been looming over me for the past three weeks. It has been very interesting studing on a subject that I probably would never have focused my attention to as much as I did. My paper was on the comparison between Hindu and Christian natural philosophy and all I can say is I hope it came out alright. Where I am at now is a whole lot of time to relax and start preparing for the finals I have. My classes finished up this Wednesday yet the last day of classes is technically today on campus. Therefore I've taken to enjoying time and reflecting over the year rather than just rushing through it, which is what it feels like I have been doing the entire semester.

I've enjoyed myself quite a bit here on campus and in Oregon. It seems funny to say that when every morning when there is blue sky I can't help but smile from ear to ear. This summer is definately something I have been looking forward to for quite a long time, but I think I am going to be just as happy to be back for the next chapter of my time here.

I wish you all the best in your decisions for college if it applies to you. Have a fabulous summer!

Zach
