Becky, for her IA presentation, made a gigantic cardboard Moby Dick, which she is modeling here.

*sniffle* ohh, it's so sad...
I'll let my neighbor Josh have the final word. Have a fantastic summer, y'all...

Hey kids, it's over!

I'm writing to you from Virginia, MN, a tiny little blip you may never find on the map. I've been home since the 7th, busy busy busy as usual. But, it's good to be here, boring as it may be. I was definitely ready for a break. I think I may have gotten more of a break than I had bargained for, but I'm sure it will be August in a flash, and I'll be kicking myself for complaining!

What's happened since last we spoke?

When was the last time we spoke? I think it was the last week of classes.

My first final was Monday afternoon - Modern American Lit from 1900 - WWII. It was beyond difficult. I mean seriously beyond difficult. However, I just checked my grades, and I finished the class with a B - yay!

Tuesday I had three finals in a row, which was murder. (Just for the record, I could have had one of the finals moved to a different day, but I wanted to get them over with, so I chose to take the awful line up.) 8:30 AM, bright and early, I took my Lit and History of the 60s final... finished the course with a B+. At 1, I had my Russian final, which was far more difficult than I had ever expected. I finished that class with a B. At 6 was my Major Periods and Issues in Brit Lit final, and I have yet to find out what grade I got in that class. However, it was the easiest final of the four, so I'm expecting at least a B.

That night, of course, I celebrated a job well done... =)

Wednesday I met a friend downtown for coffee and spent the entire day with him. It was a great way to end the semester, not to mention a great way to end the most stressful two days of my young life! Plus, it was a gorgeous day, so I got to enjoy Portland one final time before packing up everything I owned.

You guessed it, the rest of Wednesday, and all day Thursday, were spent packing. I hate packing. Really, I do.

Thursday night was my last night at work, and I got to pull down all of the fliers in Templeton. In a way, the semester didn't really feel over until then, because seeing the building without signs of student life was kind of strange. I've never seen most of those walls that clean...

Friday I spent the entire day in and around planes. That night, I got off the plane at close to 11 PM my time... it was my friends birthday, so of course we went straight to her birthday celebration at - you guessed it if you've been reading since Christmas - JTs. Only my friends would think it appropriate to head straight for the club the minute I got off the plane.

And since then, I've been sleeping and trying to get over jet lag, while trying to jump into a social life and back into work at Target. It's kind of hard to transition back into home life after being away for so long - trust me, in a year, you'll know what I mean.

Anyways... that's it. Fini. I have no more to say. Forever! =( How will I live without you guys? *tear*

Well, if you have any more questions, or if you're bored or something, you can continue to contact me. My email, as it has been all year, is dclark@lclark.edu. If you have Yahoo Messenger, I'm on there almost every night - my SN is dcatlc. Umm... in the fall, I will be on the middle floor of Platt West (if you're going to be in VAPA, you'll see me all year long!), in the single that faces Maggie's. And I think that's it!

I didn't set up a new blog like I wanted to, I'm sorry... but, you have more than enough ways to contact me now if you so desperately desire my feedback! =) Have a phenomenal summer, and if I don't see or hear from you, a great premier semester at the college of your choice!

Over and out!

~Dana
