And I think it’s gonna be a long, long time

’Till touch down brings me ’round again to find

I’m not the man they think I am at home

Oh no no no I’m a rocket man

Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone

Well, that’s my song of the week folks, rocketing my way to Graduation. Can you imagine that I will be out of here in 11 days?! Well, I sure can’t.

I apologize for that fact that last week’s blog somehow didn’t end up on the site. But, let me give you a brief synopsis: thesis, thesis and more thesis.

Yes my friends, the culmination of my time at Lewis & Clark College has come down to finishing my manuscript of the semester-long intensive study I undertook in my International Affairs seminar. And, to tell you the truth, I’m pretty happy with what I’ve produced.

I’m not done yet, and I’ll surely be spending all weekend working on corrections, but I happy with what I’ve got.

Speaking of my thesis, today I gave my thesis presentation and rocked it! It feels so nice to have gotten that out of the way and see the list of objectives left to accomplish before graduation get smaller and smaller.

Basically, at this point, I have to finish my thesis and then write three papers for my Religion & Politics class and I am home free.

So, in looking back at the last couple weeks, I just wanted to give a shout out to all y’all that have been e-mailing me with questions about L&C. It’s always nice to take a break from it all and see the future of Lewis & Clark knocking at the College’s doors, or at least flooding the hill and my e-mail inbox after April Open House.

Also, I never really told y’all about the Dance Extravaganza. Well, it was awesome. And I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Also, some other things that have been going on in my life is that we put out the last Piolog of the year last week, I brought a Holocaust survivor to campus for Holocaust Remembrance Day and a speaker on the secret wars of the CIA this past Monday.

And if you’re going to be in Portland this Thursday or on campus, you should definitely check out the Electronic Music concert. That is definitely one of the best classes I took this semester and it was so much fun to create a movie and score it with my own music – or well, you may call it “music,” but you’ll have to come and check it out for yourself.

Other than that folks, I’m basically done. Good luck with all your college decision-making process and if you have any questions – like many of you have been doing – just e-mail them to me at asp@lclark.edu and I’ll get back to you ASAP.

I think I’ll try and post again next week just to give one more shout out, but if not, there are plans to bring my blog to the nationally syndicated level… or at least the potential for an alumni blog keeping y’all up-to-date on my journey ahead. NYC here I come…

Until next time. PEACE.

P.S. Shout to Chloe Hansen. One of the coolest cats at L&C. She's working on her thesis... good luck!
